Ivan Ranza
Dear All,
I am pleased to announce that Sarah Diacono has joined EPICODE institute of Technology, as our new Academic Quality & Governance Advisor, effective immediately.
Sarah's role sits at the intersection of academic excellence and regulatory governance, and will be instrumental in supporting the Group's continued growth and institutional credibility, particularly in relation to our Maltese-accredited programmes.
In her capacity as Academic Quality & Governance Advisor, Sarah will be responsible for a broad range of strategic and operational activities, including:
• Regulatory Compliance & MFHEA Liaison — acting as our primary interface with the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority to ensure full and ongoing compliance;
• Policy Implementation & Governance — developing, implementing and overseeing the academic policies and governance frameworks that underpin our programmes;
• Quality Assurance & Academic Standards — monitoring and maintaining the academic standards;
• Programme Development & Restructuring — supporting the implementation of new programmes and the evolution of existing ones in line with accreditation requirements;
• Student Experience & Maltese Regulatory Alignment — ensuring that student-facing processes are aligned with Maltese regulatory expectations;
• Internal Coordination & Operational Support — working cross-functionally with academic, operational and legal teams across the Group;
• External Representation & Documentation — representing EPICODE in formal contexts and managing documentation with regulatory and institutional stakeholders.
Sarah brings a strong background in higher education quality assurance and academic governance, and we are confident that her contribution will be a significant asset to the organisation.
Please join me in giving Sarah a warm welcome. I encourage all relevant teams to engage with her proactively as she settles into her role.
Ivan
